This started as a little one-shot that I did as a writing exercise, which I absolutely loved.  Now I'm giving them backstory, so be prepared for some angst!

Sam Lawrence and Eugene McGee met at Jo's club.  This is a tale of love in the 1930s, secret mob dealings, music, bartending and creativity.  But those years don't last forever; happiness is finite.  Because this is a War Story... and everything is about to end.
