Dr. Eric Berg's dramatic transformation in his health due to new insights gained through deeper research into the science of nutrition eventually prompted him to transition from full-time chiropractic work to teaching his methods to other medical professionals, including a stint as an associate professor at Howard University.
His 2006 book, The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, was updated in 2019 based on new research as The Healthy Keto Plan, which is now an Amazon bestseller.
He also launched a YouTube channel in 2008 and continues sharing his thoughts on healthy eating and various other health topics, with over 6,000 videos, 18 million subscribers, and 100 million monthly views. He also developed a keto and intermittent fasting course to train Keto Coaches worldwide.
Dr. Berg's goal is to put people in charge of their health.
Dr. Eric worked as a chiropractor in San Diego, CA, Shreveport, LA, and Alexandria, VA, before becoming CEO of the Berg Institute of Health & Wellness in Seminole, FL, in 1997.
He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1988 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, after studying pre-med at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 1983 to 1985 and serving in the Army Reserves, where he was trained in X-ray technology.
National-Lincoln School of Postgraduate Education; Southern California College of Chiropractic; International Scoliosis Research Center; Risk Management, Louisiana Union of Chiropractic; and Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries, LUCP, provided additional advanced and speciality academic training.

For two years, I stayed in my own little piece of the gulf. I did not spend a lot of money, I fixed things, sold electric back to the electric company, and had fun with the teens. Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple and they live in Fort Worth Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. They are happy with their life and soon they have a son. They name him Hot shot. They love Hot shot very much. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and active child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is now five years old. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell in May. Hot shot is wondering why he is feeling so bad. He has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, and he is cranky. He is feeling so bad one night his parents rush him to the ER of Cook Children's hospital. There Hot shot is admitted for being sick and was in a lot of pain. A hospitalist who is caring for Hot shot is worried and decides a scan is needed. The next morning she sends Hot shot to get an MRI. Then Hot shot is discovered to have a brain tumor. The brain tumor gets a biopsy sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or ATRT a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together.
