The Storm

This is the first book, and also the first few paragraphs of a sprawling and far reaching story. The story deals with the Protagonist who is a slave to not only drugs but also to his dark past. His addiction to the drug MERA which allows people to see behind the veil of the sane and into a realm of being that coexists with ours unseen by most sane people.

He must balance his own goals with his dependency on MERA and his dependency on his past to define who he is. He is investigating an incident involving his daughter and wife, both of whom are now dead by his own hands. He strives to find out if this was the product of his own sick and twisted mind, or if there are other more sinister things that exist behind the curtains of reality.
