Emmie and Chase are forced to come together to find the two women because of their superior intelligences. Slowly but surely, it doesn't feel forceful anymore to hang out together. But she had to take matters into her own hands when another crisis arose in their lives. Emmie had always done things alone. This wasn't any different; it just had much higher stakes than homework.
