Breaking Bad fanfic because I'm obsessed. As a teacher, Walt had seen it all. Nerds who could probably build bombs in their garages, jocks who just needed the class to graduate, class clowns who always managed to turn the high school classroom into a daycare, edgy kids who probably shouldn't be left alone with anything potent. The list could go on. Every class was the same, year after year, decade after decade. The 50 year old chemistry teacher was used to it by now. Hell, it made things boring, every class no different than the other. But there was one class that was different, moreso one student. Sure, he could fit into some of the previously mentioned categories, but there was just something about him that set him apart. Ironic how as soon as the teacher received that cancer diagnosis things would finally change. Going bald, going broke (or at least feeling like it with the cost of treatments and a wife and one, almost two kids). It was as if the cancer had mutated every part of him, changed him inside out. Not literally of course (not to that full extent at least), but the man felt like he was going through a late-midlife crisis. And dammit, that blue boy didn't help.

Formerly called 'Withered' Highest Ranking as of 5/18/2018: #5 in Matureaudience; 12/7/2018: #3 in ied I gulped as his hand cupped my jaw, "Tell me River. Are you scared of me?" He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?
