Twenty-one-year-old Lana moves from small town Odessa to the heart of San Antonio for a job at an elite hair salon, but she's running out of time finding an apartment in the area that doesn't give her the creeps. When she stumbles upon a hopeful ad, she immediately falls in love with the Spanish colonial mansion and the cozy basement apartment for rent.
After moving in, Lana comes home from work one day and finds the driveway overflowing with motorcycles. She continues the trek to her apartment, but her eyes linger on one particular man sitting on a couch.
Guns and empty beer bottles are spread over a table in front of Angel. His hands are full of money, but he stopped counting the moment he saw the sexy stranger walking up his driveway.
Lana can't stop thinking about the dark look he gave her, the confusion of it all. Having her heart broken by her ex-girlfriend only a few months ago, Lana amends she might be attracted to men after all.
Angel is fascinated with the girl renting out his parents basement, and the more time he spends with her, the deeper his feelings become. But after a string of targeted attacks on his club, he needs to make a difficult choice: Leave the club, or leave her.
