[Howl Pendragon x fem! reader]

*Takes place after the events of the movie, and this is not a continuation of my other Howl fanfic. This one is a standalone.

Sophie had broken his heart. Howl had opened his heart to the idea of love once more when he had met her down in Market Chipping, but when she left with the prince, Howl knew that he was cursed. Doomed to suffer a life of loneliness as he travelled from place to place, romancing women only to leave the town the day after. In Howl's mind, it was the only way to avoid getting his heart broken all over again. With Markl and Calcifer gone to travel the world on their own, Howl is left to travel by his lonesome with nothing to keep him entertained. That is, until the day he stumbles upon a small village preparing for a festival.
