Cassie is a young woman in her early 20s, battling with severe depression and feelings of loneliness. After her therapist, Dr. Vigue, prescribes her medication and suggests group therapy, Cassie finds herself struggling to connect with others. Instead, she creates an imaginary friend, Dave the Diary, who becomes a lifeline for her. As she writes her deepest thoughts and emotions in her diary, she finds a sense of comfort that she can't find anywhere else.
Despite her newfound solace in Dave, Cassie's depression continues to take a toll on her. She can't find joy in anything, and her feelings of isolation continue to deepen. That is until she meets John, a kind and supportive boy who becomes a beacon of hope for her. However, just when Cassie thinks things are starting to look up, life takes a turn for the worse, and she is faced with even greater challenges.
In her book, "My Six Weeks with Dave," Cassie takes us on a deeply personal journey of self-discovery, where she learns that life is unpredictable, and things can always get worse before they get better. Through her struggles, she discovers the true meaning of hope and the power of connection, ultimately finding the strength to overcome her demons and start living the life she deserves.
"Maybe I'm just cursed into Loving you for eternity. That'd be pretty sweet only if you loved me, too."

Loving him was the best -- and worst -- form of self-destruction.
Sophie has been friends with Oliver since they were seven and starry-eyed. And on some level, she has Loved him (with a capital L) ever since.
She fell down that rabbit hole at an early age, and she still doesn't know how to climb out. So, she decided to start a journal to pinpoint where it all went wrong and to figure out where to go from there.
