In the far future, humanity has colonized the galaxy and established contact with other intelligent species. Dr. Sarah Singh is a brilliant astrophysicist and a protégé of the late Arthur C. Clarke. She is obsessed with finding a way to cross the event horizon of a black hole, a feat previously thought impossible. With the help of a team of engineers and scientists, she designs a revolutionary spacecraft that can withstand the extreme gravity and radiation of a black hole.
Meanwhile, a group of humans who left the galaxy centuries ago have returned with a warning. They have encountered a hostile alien race that has destroyed countless civilizations, and they are headed towards the Milky Way. The alien fleet is led by a mysterious entity known as the Shrouded One, which has the power to manipulate reality itself.
Dr. Singh realizes that the only way to save humanity is to harness the power of the black hole and use it to create a weapon capable of destroying the alien fleet. She and her team embark on a perilous journey into the heart of the black hole, where they discover a strange realm of energy and consciousness that defies all known laws of physics. There, they meet a being known as the Transcendent, who has transcended physical form and achieved enlightenment.
The Transcendent reveals that the Shrouded One is a rogue member of their own race, who has fallen into madness and seeks to destroy all other forms of life. The Transcendent agrees to help Dr. Singh and her team, but warns them that the price of using the black hole as a weapon will be the destruction of the galaxy itself.
As the alien fleet approaches, Dr. Singh must make a fateful decision. Will she risk everything to save humanity, or will she choose to let the galaxy be destroyed in the hope of preserving some small spark of life for the future?

***Completed*** If you knew your world would soon be torched to carbon, would you fight to save it? ...Or light a match of your own? Violina, a girl polarized by love and loathing, finds herself thrown into a post-apocalyptic world with mankind on the brink of extinction. Discovering the means to travel back in time, she teams up with the ever-optimistic, pun-loving Lux and sets out to prevent the apocalypse from ever happening in the first place. But as her crusade advances, she becomes increasingly disturbed by humanity's apparent *lack* of humanity and comes to a frightening realization: To build a new world, she must first tear the old one down. Inevitable Ascension-The twisted jigsaw puzzle of a story with equal parts rapid-fire action, humor and charm. It's got a host of twists that will literally make your brain explode! Actually not literally, you know, because otherwise that would be really gross. Who is V.K. McAllister? We're a husband/wife duo (Andrew and Sasha McAllister) with a unique approach to writing. We work simultaneously and in secret before combining what we come up with, resulting in dramatic and unexpected twists that surprise even us! Crazy? Yes, yes it is, but it's surprisingly fun and effective. :) We pretty much live for the Inevitable Ascension series and did just about everything ourselves-the writing, the editing, the publishing, the art (well, Andrew did the art, but Sasha provided invaluable consulting when it came to eyebrows), the audio book, the trailer-everything. We're basically a one-man band, except with two people... and no music... so perhaps not the best metaphor, but we're confident you get what we mean. ALIEN: EREBUS by EthanWRichardson
20 parts Ongoing Mature
Set between the events of Prometheus and Alien: Romulus, Alien: Erebus is a harrowing tale of survival, corporate greed, and the unimaginable horrors lurking within the deep reaches of space. The story follows a new crew aboard the USCSS Erebus, a research vessel originally sent to explore a mysterious anomaly on the fringes of known space. Decades after the ship's disappearance, the wreckage of the Erebus is discovered by a salvage crew seeking to cash in on the corporation's latest lucrative find. As the crew begins to investigate the abandoned ship, they quickly discover the truth behind its fate. What was supposed to be a routine mission becomes a nightmare as they uncover the remnants of a dark experiment-one that was directly linked to the Prometheus expedition. A dangerous alien organism, born of the Engineers' ancient experiments, had been secretly transported aboard, causing the Erebus to crash in the void. The crew, desperate to escape, failed to destroy the creatures, and the ship became a floating tomb. In the wake of the ship's rediscovery, the salvage team, along with a handful of survivors, must navigate the haunting ruins of the Erebus as they face an all-consuming terror that has only grown stronger over the years. But what they don't know is that the horrors aboard the Erebus were not just biological-they were also tied to Weyland-Yutani's insidious plot to weaponize the Xenomorphs, using the alien DNA to manipulate human physiology and enhance their military assets. As the creature within the ship awakens, the survivors must battle their inner demons, face corporate betrayal, and contend with the terror that stalks them through the ship's wreckage. But their escape may not be enough. In the darkness of space, no one can hear you scream-especially if the Xenomorphs have learned to adapt. Will the creatures be eradicated, or will humanity be left to face a new, more terrifying chapter in its history? Only time will tell-but it won't be easy.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
