Love and Other Anxiety talks about the irrationality of being a lover, a partner, a friend and of being a person inside a relationship. One of the most crucial part of coming up with the idea of love as a form of anxiety is proving that it can be a reason of anxiety and why it can't be. One thing I love about writing this, is I can be vulnerable as I can be. I can be happy, sad, angry, furious, anxious, suicidal, extremely unreasonable and immature. Love and Other Anxiety, a lineup of 45 poems expressed with eagerness, experiences, and mostly imagery and metaphors of our emotions. I would describe this line up of poems as messy, unpredictable, complicated, sad, tragic and narcissist. It is all over the place. Characterized by love as a form of anxiety. She's a lost soul, searching for Froot Loops in a world of Cheerios. Emotions. Inflicted by words, Creating signals to connect those emotions. A pang in your heart, the dull ache of love, a tedious, meaningless thing to some. The entire thing to others. Confusing, at the least. All consuming, at the most. We bundle it inside, Hide it in boxes, In the deepest crevices of our persona, Then suddenly, it burst free, tumbling into the atmosphere, filling every hour, every moment. Words convey it. (Unedited) "You weren't here! You haven't been in a long time so stop trying to act like you were." Willow grew up in a house with six brothers, one of them being her twin. She's grown up in a two bedroom apartment with an alcoholic mother who never managed to pay the bills on time or even buy food, so the eldest two brother's always took the responsibility, and once they left it was passed on to the next brother. But eventually all her big brother's had left without looking back and it was just her, her twin Wes and their mother whenever she was around. They got along just fine for the next two years, they somehow managed to get through the tough times together and they thought it would stay that way, the two of them against the world. Until their mother got pregnant and they had the responsibility of raising their baby sister at the age of 11. They pulled through and it was now the three of them against the world. They believe they can get through anything and they hope that's true when suddenly the brothers who disappeared years ago start to show up looking to mend their relationship with the twins who hold a deep hatred for their older brothers.
