It's the early 2000's ( somewhere between 2006-2010 ) and hogwarts was the first ever wizard/witch school to accept muggle objects and items, and most of the students have their own phones and can use it in the school. And yes the school is exposed to phones, gadgets, etc and the students ( mostly purebloods ) have changed their mindset about the muggle word. And yes some parts of the wizarding world have accepted muggle objects.

Harry Potter is known throughout the Wizarding World as the hero that saved everyone. Well, there's no Voldemort nor famous Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a Muggle, just like his very much alive parents James and Lily Potter. He lives a happy life with his family, but doesn't have much friends- only one special one.
