Patrick was confused when he arrived at Camp Half-Blood. He didn't know anything about Greece, let alone Greek Mythology. He knew he wouldn't fit in there, he was a band kid. If only he could make Greek mythology as easy as music.
Pete knew everything about Greek Mythology. He knew all of the major gods and goddesses, demigods, heroes, minor gods... he knew about it all. So, when he meets clueless, innocent, little Patrick, he decides to help; in exchange for something else, of course.

Unlikely Heroes
