"You can't trust it!" Kaoru's hand trembled. " They can never be tamed. It'll come after you in no time."

The Snake's Bride
Stranded on an uncharted island during an expedition gone wrong, Lyra must find a way to not only escape the strange island but survive its brutal environment and the creatures that lurk there. The last thing Lyra expected on this expedition is to end up stumbling into the territory of a highly aggressive and highly territorial beast that sees her as its next meal...or so she thinks. ----- Lyra has always suffered from a fear of snakes, ever since she was a young girl. She has done well to avoid the scaly creatures and keep her distance from them even while working as a toxicologist who researches and makes lifesaving cures for snake bite victims. However, working in such a field doesn't completely keep her from interacting or coming close to the animals she fears so much, especially when she's sent on an expedition along with some explorers to an uninhabited island to research and discover new species of plants and animals as well as search for an elusive and highly venomous serpent that is said to inhabit the strange isle. It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment.
