~This story takes place in an alternative time period~ The Council hides behind Promise Folklore, a bard full of promise who runs a tavern with her family. A humanoid. She's on the run from a broken past and it's not something she's proud of. She caused a disaster and for that she's afraid they'll put her back in the System. A system that they reuse to create powers for all people. But she's the only one that is tethered to both worlds. That was the reason they created her in the beginning to help the poor, until greed took the front seat. Now, all they want is to tear her down. Until she finds a portal, a portal to bring her closer to the Council. The upper level, the wealthy. And through all of this, she's stuck between two people and an inn. They're both trying to help her overturn everyone's opinion and hope in humanity. People who she thought was going to save her. Until it turns for the worst. What takes precedence on this planet and does she have what it takes to overcome it all?
