Long ago, a love triangle resulted in a sleeping curse. The Spanish Shadowhunter 20 year old known as Viviana Oleastro would be unable to be woken up, and consequently taken to the Silent City. The hope was that the Silent Brother's magic, or the future, would find a solution to her slumber. 

However, it would not be intention and effort that would wake her, but rather, a series of coincidences unrelated to herself. When she wakes up, she finds the Silent City under siege by Valentine Morgenstern and the Circle. Now she must venture the modern world, in a new country, and with a different culture, battling fellow Shadowhunters to save the Shadow World. All the while, she might just fall in love for the descendant of one of her old friends.
