Alex is a 17, emo and gay. He is forced to move to a new high school for the third time in the past year. He is constantly picked on for the way he looks and dresses, but he never fights back. He lets himself be put down because that's all he's ever known. He grew up with abusive parents and nobody to look out for him. At his new school, his newest bully is Tyler, one of the popular guys who all the girls swoon over. However, Tyler isn't the toughest character he makes himself out to be and Alex soon learns that there is a different side to him that not even his closest friends know about.
