In Between

Elm has not gone to a ball since Quinn left for sea.
Today marks her first party since his departure, and she hopes that he will come on his return.
But her shaking hands and sudden chills seem to foreshadow something unpleasant to come, though Elm ignores this.
And then, when someone suddenly whispers some very sacred words into her ear, she thinks all is well.
And maybe it is. Or maybe it's not.
Tonight is about celebrating the joys of youth, and whether or not Quinn arrives, Elm intends to do just that. Let the dance, begin!!
