Prologue
"Open up the door, or we burst it open for you...." a voice shouted outside followed by a countdown, even more loudly than the loud siren wailing.
"3......2...."
Dad pushed me into my wardrobe after couple of seconds of looking for where to hide me....then place his index finger on his lips, as I breathe loudly in fear. He smiled and closed the door, leaving me in the dark.
"1..." the voice finally shouted, and just like I predicted, and with my ears shut, our door broke opened and I heard struggling and glasses shattering. Then I heard dad groan in pains. I covered my mouth not to be heard, and trying to peep through a hole at the same time.
I heard them walking into the kitchen, upstairs and bedrooms, clearly looking for me and after 3 minutes, the "All-clear" order was given and the cars drove out, sirens wailing away in the distances.
I sat in the wardrobe, now all down and teary, I really don't want this to happen but....It just had to, because dad told me it will.
I slowly opened the door and walked out from the wardrobe; looking around the damaged room...I picked up my dad's ash-tray and inhaler and sat down.
My face went all red and my view got blurry.
My name is May Matt. I was 16 when my dad got arrested for what I know not and I reckon that is the beginning of my quest to find this missing information about my parents.

Suddenly a loud bang had sounded as my father's office door slammed opened revealing a disheveled Edward. My eyes scanning him from head to toe as he was now breathing erratically.
