Stanley and The Narrator, a pair never made to last. Creator and creation. "Let's go back just once and give Stanley one more run of the office, Then I'll retire him for good." Stanley found himself desperately attempting to extend this last run of his as much as he could but ultimately couldn't escape from the end after all. The end of the parable and the end of his life chased him relentlessly. And he was going to run out of breath. He awoke one day to sand and sky and the sun gliding over him. ---------------------- This is not going to include any romance, (unless you look closely ig) BUT hear me out, this is an emotional rollercoaster through the path I'm pretty sure most players go through. Just told in a dramatic pre release au Stanley and Narrator thing. Where Stanley - a real person- had helped the narrator cover all corners of the game and create new endings. (Idk man I just moved my hands and this came out. The epilogue traumatised me. )

But when he left the hospital, a little worse for wear, the only person willing to stand by him was Black. It made no sense. It was in Black's best interest to walk away and never look back. Instead, he stuck close to Todd. Too close if he was honest. Proximity could breed all kinds of things Todd wasn't ready for. He might have appreciated the care and consideration but when it moved beyond that, to something far more intimate, Todd had to figure out what he wanted before he was swept up in whatever game Black was playing. Of course I have like 30 million other things I need to finish but if I don't write this I'll be sad when I have writer's block and then this will never exist. Stanley had been stuck here for what? years? He wanted out, and he wanted out now. Sadly, the narrator wouldn't let him leave, driving him insane. He just wanted out. He didn't care if he'd have to hurt himself or the narrator. If he got out, he got out. The narrator had been stuck here longer and when Stanley appeared, he finally had company. A friend even. Or so he thought. Plenty of times had Stanley run away or jumped off something to avoid the narrator and each time it'd reset. the narrator knew he talked a lot, but all he wanted was a friend. ------------- This is the first fanfic I've ever finished. It's not wonderful quality, but it was a passion project that I seemed to finally have the passion to finish and leave up for others to read
