Kites and imagination have a lot in common. Normally kites go high, they reach beyond the reality of today and into the fantasy of tomorrow. Imagination can go anywhere as well, from the inauguration of George Washington to the assassination of Martin Luther King. Anything can happen in your imagination, it can go above and beyond what reality you live in. Sometimes the kite doesn't fly where you want it to, and it gets stuck in a tree or a power line. You've just lost your kite, and you most likely won't retrieve it. Sometimes your imagination goes places you don't want it to, you see things you want to but not things that are actually exist. You can't retrieve your mind's experiences, they stay with you for as long as you allow them. Something like what happened to me, but I didn't fly a kite.

What would happen if someone's imagination was so strong that they were able to create a whole new world from there thoughts? If they could somewhat control what happens in that world and what if they were able to have two bodies, one in there world one in the real world, and what if, eventually, the two worlds collide. Derrick is under this situation, and it all starts when a lightning bolt strikes.
