Since the apocalypse, electricity was the only thing to push humanity forward, and that's what humanity latched onto. especially the Slate. It developed the impenetrable system it uses today, no one can get through the firewall. There has never been a threat— until now.
Niko Amador was born into the Stub, a sub-community of 'rejects' within the city. He lives a normal life, except for his inept ability to bend electricity. He must keep her identity a secret— which is hard to do, because as he grows, his power only becomes stronger. The Slate catches on and is hot on his trail, when something so unexpected happens: a worldwide power surge.
Follow Niko as he searches for answers, allies, love and the reasons behind his ability in a crumbling society that threatens to kill him.
