Gregory Stone's was stated as one of the Emperor's Guard, who was sent to venture forward to
pursuing Vampires. Ones that killed {specific} citizens. The Emperor was a burden to people, towards the Vampires and even Evan Azure, who was the son of the Emperor. Evan was poorly mistreated and abused, his Mother left them due to how his father, who's the Emperor, misemployed and abused her. They were a mother that wanted to fulfil her child's exhilaration, her child's rhapsody and joyousness. She wanted to see them grow up, but it turns out that will never happen. She'll always remember their reminiscing, joyous laughs, and even one stupid thing they do can simply make a smile on her face.

The Emperor who was called William, wouldn't ought to let Evan Azure go or roam the divination of the woods. He wouldn't dare let him go outside because of how he disobeyed him last time. Freedom was seen as a drug to Evan, and once William declared for Gregory to go and hunt for the Vampires, he ran away to go with him. He needed to know what freedom felt like, what nature was and what the breeze felt. He knows how consequential it is to disobey William, but it was worth it.
