There are two ways a ghost can disperse and cease to exist altogether.
First are their ashes. Should someone destroy them, the ghost would be forcibly erased from the world.
Second, as ghosts have an attachment to their former mortal life in the form of resentment or love, for instance, they are able to disperse should they be able to let go of or fulfill their lingering desires.
