Aiden Gilmore had survived on his own in Glorievale for two years after the first infection. After being taken in by a camp of friendly survivors, he begins to rebuild his life brick by brick. The camp has flourished, with vegetable gardens and medical supplies and have been very good at keeping infection out. When Malachi Rhodes stumbles into the camp, injured and seemingly infected, Aiden votes with the minority to turn him away. The infection is a death sentence and Malachi is already in deep. It should only be a few hours until he kicks the bucket, but when he makes a full recovery, he leaves the camp stunned. It is voted that he should stay, and the camp has sinister plans to use Malachi's blood to fashion a cure. Can Aiden get Malachi out in time to save him? Or is Malachi doomed to be used for humanity's salvation, at the cost of his own.
