I'm writing a story for school so I will post it here for strangers to read. This story is slightly modified from the turned in assignment because when I finished it was overdue and the ending was rushed.

She looks hurt, but decides to reply. "What you did yesterday doesn't matter, alright? Just please don't go home. I'll sleep on the couch while you sleep in my bed, okay? I just really don't want you to go."
I'm shocked by her forwardness but saddened by her voice. It's shaky and pleading and resembles the voice of a frightened little girl who just saw her mother walk off with another lover.
I put my shirt on, my hands shaking. "I don't wanna go."
