On an earth-like planet named Ðěvina, a hermaphroditic species called the yið lives in peace and harmony, enjoying the beauty of a wide band of rings up in the sky and multiple moons. In addition to spoken speech, they have chromatophores in their skin to express their emotions, like octopuses/cuttlefish. One day, everything changes when a former splinter group known as the Ysenia annex Riverrun's city. Inspired in no small part by Storm Constantine's Wraeththu series, I'm making a new sandbox where gender isn't a concept and exploring the ethics of a society being forced to make tough decisions after a population crash.

However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it!
