Undead creatures have been extinct for half a decade. They have, that was until one night. The worst kind of cliché, it was a dark and stormy night.
A group of friends must band together to figure out the cause of this sudden apocalypse, while also surviving it. Maybe they can even put a stop to it.
This is an AU inspired by my friends in the Toni's Lounge discord server, a server created by Youtube animator Toni Tonight. What started out as a MCYT server evolved into a tight-knit friend group of Dream-Antis.
For the record this is one of the first stories I've ever written, I have not taken a creative writing class ever, and this will probably not be great at times but I'm always open to editing it like years later 💀

I gave up on this book sorry!!!! Prologue: The sky had always been a canvas of infinite shades; serene blues, fiery oranges, and dusky purples that whispered the passing of time. But tonight, it was an unforgiving black, thick and suffocating, as if the stars themselves had fled in terror. The wind, once a gentle lullaby, now carried with it the stench of decay, a bitter harbinger of the nightmare that had begun to unfold. It started as a whisper in the farthest corners of the earth, a murmur of sickness that no one paid much mind. A fever here, a violent cough there-symptoms too common to cause alarm. The news reports were fleeting, overshadowed by politics and celebrity scandals. But as the days turned into weeks, the whisper grew louder, more insistent. Hospitals overflowed, bodies piled up, and the once indifferent world began to notice. By then, it was too late. The first to rise were the ones who had died in fear, their final moments spent in frantic horror. The infection moved like wildfire, an unseen hand turning the once living into twisted mockeries of life. These creatures, driven by an insatiable hunger, spread chaos across the globe. Cities burned, governments crumbled, and humanity was brought to its knees. In the midst of this chaos, there were those who fought to survive, clinging to the remnants of a world that was slipping through their fingers. Lost In Lucidity
"Last night, I had a dream the world ended. Half the population disappeared, and unfathomable eldritch beasts shambled out of an unending darkness." In a world with no sun and bloodthirsty creatures roaming the all consuming dark, the only places still safe are the small compounds that managed to get walls up before all came crashing down. Now, life is simple. Stay inside the walls, and you'll stay alive. It's not relatively easy anymore, though. With no one for company but each other, danger lurking only a few yards away from their homes, and half of their loved ones swept away in a mysterious event known only as 'The Vanishing', the morale of the populous is at an all time low. It's only getting worse for some, as their cities that are supposed to be providing for them are failing to do so. Survivors Wesly and Valentine aren't content with this, however, especially since Val's mother desperately needs life-saving medicine that the city just won't send. With no other options, the two journey outside the wall to study the monsters beyond, selling the information they find to the city in exchange for their support. While dangerous, they manage the task fine until one journey out they stumble across a disturbing, gruesome revelation that reveals not only more about the city, but the end of the world as a whole. As the duo begin to pull on the thread and tangle themselves slowly into its snare, they begin to realize there's a lot more to this apocalypse than they ever could have imagined, and that the horrific beasts they've been studying might be the least of their concerns...Complete
Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one.
