JEGULUS TRAGIC LOVE + TITANIC-LIKE FIC!!

"I am not a star," Regulus argued, still trying to hide the smile that threatened to bloom on his face. James was always trying to make him smile.
"But you are," James said, nodding.
"I am not," Regulus smiled, not able to resist anymore. "There is several reasons for that."
"Tell me, Regulus," James replied, leaning even more forward, his eyes on him. James' eyes seemed darker during the night. In the day, when they would see each other during meals, his brown eyes would look lighter.
"First of all, I don't shine," he started, looking to the sky. That day, there was no clouds in the sky.
"Wrong," James cut him quickly in his tracks. "You are."
"What are you talking about."
"There is gold on your clothes," James said, eyeing at Regulus coat. "And when you smile, the night is over," he added with that charming smile of his, looking right into Regulus' eyes.
And Regulus scoffed, shaking his head. "It doesn't count."
"It does," James just answered.

"Do you swear it?" Regulus looks deep into James' eyes, waiting for the faltering, but there is none. "I swear it," he says, gripping Regulus' arm tighter. There's a moment of silence, and then it is James who twists their arms, locking the charm in place. Not that either of them will remember it the following day, drunk as they are. -------- James and Regulus get really drunk and make an unbreakable vow. James swears that Regulus will be in love with him by the end of the year, and Regulus swears not to push him away and make him try. When they wake up the following day, they remember nothing of it. But everyone knows what happens if you don't go through with it, so they can do nothing but try to recall and respect their drunken promises or be met by sweet old death. "Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard," came the cheery voice of the conductor, Stan Shunpike, who blinked at Regulus with wide, startled eyes. "Blimey, mate, you look like-" "The Potter's house," Regulus rasped, his voice hoarse and trembling. He shoved a handful of Sickles into Stan's hand before collapsing onto the nearest seat. Stan stared for a moment but said nothing. The bus jolted into motion, sending Regulus sprawling against the window. He didn't care. The world outside blurred into streaks of color, and for the first time in hours, days, fucking weeks he allowed himself to breathe. The pain throbbed with each beat of his heart, but he ignored it. He pressed his forehead against the cool glass, his gray eyes vacant as he stared at the night rushing past. The Potters. He was going to the Potters. To Sirius.

James never believed in the afterlife, ghost stories, or supernatural experiences. Of course, some magic was out there, but it's not like it was taught in a school. He didn't really care about it, he didn't care about death either, if you were dead, you were dead, end of the story. He tried not to think of it since his parents died. Pandora - his best friend, and at this time the only friend he felt close to - was a strong support in his life. She was a psychic and often made him shake his nonchalant attitude towards death and esoteric things. She was weird, and he liked it. After the death of his parents, James just wanted a quiet life, to have fun at his job, and maybe eat a pizza every Friday night. So, when he found out Pandora was spotting something odd behind him when he came back from the cemetery, he didn't know that it was the beginning of something, but not as quietly as he wanted. Why is James haunted? Why doesn't Pandora seem worried about it and doesn't push the ghost away? Why is this ghost - Regulus - so drawn to James? ★ Or, what if after his death, Regulus gets drawn to a stranger in a cemetery, following him as a ghost, slowly getting attached to him and maybe, just maybe, regretting dying?

"A sleeping curse?" he asked, wondering why Regulus was interested in some welsh curse, or whatever. Regulus looked at him in disbelief. "How would you know it's a fucking sleeping curse? Do you know anything about it?"
