Geeky 18-year-old metalhead Storm "Flash" Vizsla is in for the surprise of a lifetime when they move into a new apartment and learn that their roommates are none other than the Greek gods and that the apartment building is the new location of Mount Olympus. As Flash adjusts to living with the gods they learn a shocking secret about themselves: they are descended from the fearsome monsters Typhon and Echidna and have the ability to shapeshift between human and reptilian monster forms at will. But the surprises don't end there for Flash. An ancient prophecy states that Typhon will break out of Tartarus and attempt to destroy Olympus but he can only be stopped by one of his direct descendants. The gods believe that Flash is the one who is destined to defeat Typhon once and for all. However, Flash is generally more interested in goofing off with their new best buddy Persephone than preparing for battle. With the help of Ares and Athena, Flash must train to unlock their inner warrior and learn how to pilot the giant robot that Hephaestus builds for Olympus's last stand against Typhon.

❝In a fight, they're lethal. Around each other, they melt❞ "I'm fine." I said, trying to hide the frown and tears that threatened to spill. Percy looked at me once. "I'm not going anywhere, unless you tell me what's wrong," he declared and I would have laughed if my heart wasn't shattered to pieces.
