Some bridges lead to salvation. Others... to someone who changes everything. Evan Wadzinski (25 years old) had nothing left to live for. Abused, abandoned, and drowning in the wreckage of his past, he climbs the railing of an old bridge on a freezing night, ready to end it all. One step, and the pain will finally stop. But fate has other plans-and her name is Jade Parker (29 years old). Jade isn't a savior. She's late for work, blasting music in her beat-up Civic, trying to keep her life from completely unraveling. The last thing she expects is a man crashing onto her car in a suicide attempt. In one shattering moment, two broken worlds collide. Evan survives-but he's furious about it. Bitter, angry, and determined to disappear, he pushes everyone away... except Jade, who refuses to let him sink back into the darkness. She has her own scars, her own secrets-ones she hides behind stilettos and neon lights at a job she never thought she'd take. What begins as an unwanted connection becomes something neither of them saw coming: a lifeline. A fragile, dangerous thread binding two lost souls together. But saving someone else means facing your own demons, and both Evan and Jade are running from ghosts that don't stay buried. Can love really pull them back from the edge-or will the weight of their pasts drag them both under?
