Vince can't avoid it. He can't avoid the constant beeps, vibrations, ringtones that escape his phone. He has to read the text messages. He has to do everything that those text messages say. If he doesn't, someone will face the consequences, whether it be him or, worse, his family and friends.

And that consequence is death.
