The Hermitcraft Season 9 server was a calm, peaceful place. Everyone was settling in to their new mega bases and were happy with their new lives. 

Little did they know that a malicious force was still hiding in the shadows. Waiting to strike at the first sign of weakness.
The Boogeyman Curse is still lurking in the lives of the LastLife members. The server itself is restarting. Who will be left in the end?

 LastLife isn't anybody's game...unless someone is willing to sacrifice for the win.

This is an AU where the players of LastLife must play again. But this time there's a twist. They have no memories of the previous game and the boogeyman curse seems to stay with its victims. A story of love, death, survival and grief.

Grian was getting used to the safety of the Hermitcraft server quite well. He still had bad days in which all the memories of his high school life came back to him and ate away at his mind. However, he also had good days, when he could spend time with his friends and live happily, normally. On one of his bad days though, he finds a white bunny with a nametag reading 'Sam' wrapped around it's neck. It was an accident, surely, probably part of Stress's shenanigans. Probably just a coincidence that the handwriting spelling the name looked like someone else's... someone from Grian's past. But Grian wasn't thinking of what it probably was when he ran. But it turns out, running has consequences. OR Samgladiator joined the game A YHS/Hermicraft fanfic, involves very mild Grumbo shipping but you can read it as purely platonic if that's what you want. Trigger warnings are: death (not permadeath), knives, stabbing, abuse, fighting, manipulation, PTSD, Sam being Sam, blood and general angsty stuff. Don't worry though, it has a happy ending! A soulbound is an unfortunate happenstance in which two people's lives are tied together, literally. If one of them is hurt, the other is hurt, and if one of them dies, the other will die. Simply breaking the connection with the power of a Golden Apple or any other means will result in the souls slowly fading away, leaving their bodies dead in a matter of days anyway.
