Everyone Deserves to be Happy (Solangelo)
Percy finds out about Nico's crush earlier than planned. And it's on neither of their terms. Until Percy gives him some good advice. Advice Nico takes to heart. But a demigod's life is never easy, and with a new prophecy and a new quest even darker forces are looming over the horizon, threatening to destroy the sunshine that Nico and another half-blood we all thought was gone have finally found. Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. LIABILITY - WILCO SOLANGELO
Nico's more than a little broken. He feels as though he's a liability to everyone around him. He feels hated and unwanted and he desperately wants and needs someone to save him. Will is busy helping in the infirmary but a part of him still is focused on a certain pale skinny boy who he wants to save. The problem is he doesn't know how. Then the both of them share a flashback together and it changes their dynamic. Will suddenly realises how serious Nico's mental health issues are and it scares him. Nico desperately wants to run away because he refuses to let the adorable bright ball of sunshine be tainted by his darkness What happens when Will realises that behind Nico's harsh darkness there's a soft boy who can be happy and funny? And what happens when Nico realises Will may be a sunshine but even the Sun can't always be bright and happy? Oh and not to mention the growing crush the boys have on each other. Nico Di Angelo's school is taking the whole junior year on a trip to Greece. Following the no gender mingling school policy, Nico groups with his best buds Percy Jackson and Jason Grace. All is well and good before Will Solace joins their bubble. Nico gets a strange, tingly, ticklish feeling in his stomach when he's around Will. It doesn't help when they have to pair off to explore the Parthenon and Percy and Jason take off, leaving Nico alone with Will. It also doesn't help when the two boys decide to share a bed at the hotels. Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further. He would not succumb to the light only to fall forever into darkness. He would do what Icarus couldn't. Nico di Angelo would not fly too close to the sun. As the door opened it closed equally as softly, there was silence and Nico was getting suspicious the person made no noise. Then suddenly felt a sudden pressure being applied to his back and a soft voice spoke, "Morning neeks." The voice was so close to his ear that he felt a chill run up his spine. He tried to push off the bubbly blond but nothing worked so he just let him be and tried to go back to sleep but Will was not having that.
