Evelyn Ford moves in next to the hottest boy in her school.

A week after their first interaction, she bumps into his car while going to get groceries for her mom.

"I'll pay to get both our cars repaired today, free of charge for you," he grabs my hand gently and brings it closer to his face. My entire body became engulfed in goosebumps, "but you have to do me a favor." He doesn't let go of my hand as he lowers them to our thighs, and looks into my hazel eyes with his steel blue ones. I look at the ground to avoid eye contact.

"I'll do anything, you name it. But I would really rather just pay you back, it's going to cost a lot of money." I say as I look back at him. He grins while he turns to go back to his car.

"Don't worry, I can afford it. Meet me outside of my house tonight at 9pm sharp and wear something nice." And just like that, he takes off.

Someone Willing to Stay

53 parts Complete Mature

"Damn it, Mason, you can't fix me. I'm not some used car that needs an oil change." I'm standing at the edge of my driveway. If I take one step towards that house, then I go back to my life. The life I've had since Mason left. Since he abandoned me. If I turn around. If I take one second to look into his eyes. I don't think I'll be able to resist throwing myself in his arms. "I'm shattered, Mason. Like a dusty vase that's been ignored for too long." "You know the best thing about broken vases, Mel? You just need three things to make them whole." I decide to go along with his speech. "Faith, trust, and pixie dust?" I muse. "Tape, glue, and someone willing to fix it. And I'm right here, Mel."
