Kassi Moore Brookeston is traveling alongside her new buddy, Alexander until he mysteriously decides to take a walk because she accidentally blushed too hard. Alexander never returned.

Kassi Moore was new to the wild, she loved bunnies and was all alone because her dad died and she hadn't heard of her mom. As she meets someone new, she falls for him instantly, but he leaves her behind assuming he's going for a "walk". Kassi is left destroyed as the new herd leader. 

Alexander appears and Kassi doesn't know whether to accept him back into her life and forgive him or to go on with life and not accept Alexander again into his herd. Kassi soon learns that she's suffering from cancer and won't be living much longer. As she makes her final decision, she finds out that Alexander had left again. She was heartbroken.

Lily Reincumbert, the new little girl being bewildered into her mother's arms, is the body Kassi Moore was reborn in. Will she have a better life than when she was a wolf?

Will Alexander return and finally realize that Kassi is gone for good? Or will he continue repeatedly avoiding her until he dies?
