Being an NPC was all about staying in the background and out of the spotlight. It was how you lived every time the world would go white, and the story would start from the beginning once more. Being an NPC meant being a background character, only ever rarely being spotted by the viewers, never interacting with the main cast, and blending into the blur of the other not-as-important characters.
With all that being known, it's not normal for an NPC to have access to lifetimes of memories. It's not normal for an NPC to have a changeable stat sheet. It's not normal for an NPC to find themselves with an interdimential star shaped being bugging them to become overpowered. It's really not normal for an NPC to have the ability to see the ghosts of people and have the part hokages floating around them and watching them like they were a ticking time bomb ready to go off and wipe Konah off the face of the earth. It surely isn't normal for the universe to suddenly throw an NPC in situations where they'd be forced to interact with the main cast and capture the attention of everyone they meet. Surely, it's not normal for everyone to start to remember this random NPC from other lives...Right?

I'm (Y/n) (L/n), although my last name is not known to many people. I used to have a happy and chill childhood in a small hidden village from the Land of Rain, at least until something happened and I was forced to start a life as a ninja from the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Now, I'm 21 and coming back to Konoha from a long term mission with my ANBU team. The Hokage sent me on an easy mission where I met a jonin who later presented me to his friends.
