A canonverse exploration of the Ackerman bond between Levi and Erwin, and how it may have occurred within the storyline of the No Regrets OVA.

This is a story I have been wanting to write for years, a canon world exploration of how Levi ended up forming his Ackerman bond with Erwin. Within the canon story it seems to me that it must have happened between the deaths of Isabel and Farlan and the end of No Regrets where Levi is already following Erwin without question on the next expedition. The bond between Kenny and Uri was formed by an act violence followed by an act of kindness that gave Kenny something to aspire too, and I wanted to explore the same concept happening between Levi and Erwin. When Isayama mentioned in an interview that Levi had considered suicide but chose to go on, it struck me at the time that knowing that a large part of the audience for his story was younger people, he had not wanted to say that Levi had actually attempted suicide but I definitely felt that he had after he lost his family. My concept for the story grew out of these ideas, and I hope you enjoy it.
