Tides: An OBX Story

She's always been second par to Sarah Cameron. Kook princess number two. Best friends since kindergarten living on figure 8. A prestigious family that ran with the Camerons. Long before Rose was the Kook Queen, there was Abigail Cameron. Beloved mother to Rafe, Sarah, and Wheezie. But tragedy struck and Ward was left to pick up the pieces. The Calloways were their shoulder to cry on. Their number twos until Ward screwed the pooch on that front, like he always does. Lulu Calloway always had a soft spot for Rafe even when he was unhinged. Sarah and Lulu were inseparable until time came to label everyone. Kooks versus Pogues. Lulu hated labels and her family name was tainted. Rafe became the Kook Prince and everything else is history.
But Lulu was smarter than most Kooks. She learned the ways of The Cut and Figure 8. Kept tabs on everyone. Lulu, Sarah, and Kie were known as The Three Musketeers during The Kook Year until the falling out. Now Sarah is a Pogue with Kie and Lulu was left in the dust as neither Kook or Pogue. Lulu even had a summer fling with JJ. But she was always on the outside looking in, wishing to be part of the adventures.
Now the tide has shifted. Rafe Cameron is off the rails. Ward Cameron and Rose have thwarted any insurance policy they had in place. The Pogues are on the run. The law is slowly catching up with everyone; and the only people that haven't tipped the scale of chaos are: Lulu, Wheezie, and Topper.
When Rafe finds himself in a bind back on Figure 8, he goes to the one person who can get him on and off the island without any questions asked. No one suspects the pretty girl who never does anything and gives back to The Cut.
Another treasure hunt. Potential love. What could go wrong?
