Bradley lived a normal life, until it turned into a living hell. One day a new girl, with the name of Pippa, joins his school. Bradley starts to get a crush on her but the next day, he notices something weird about her. Her eyes were red due to the fact she doesn't go to sleep at night. Bradley then gets a mysterious present. It was a creepy looking Jack in the box. Bradley then plays it but the song Pop goes the Weasel is out of tune and where the clown is supposed to pop out, there was nothing. He goes to Pippa and asks about her eyes. She then tells him about the monster, Laughing Jack. She tells Bradley opening the Jack in the box was a big mistake as it unleashed him out of the box. The boy then realises that that's the reason he also can't sleep at night ever since getting the box. Pippa tells Bradley about a girl who experienced the same thing a year ago and was put into an asylum as no one believed her. Bradley and Pippa go to this asylum and question the girl about this evil clown and how she defeated him. Bradley's life then turns into survival as he goes up against the clown that laughs in the shadows. But little does he know who he's really going up against.
