Welcome to a world where your parents think you're special. They think you're the most special kid in the entire universe. You're so special; they often gift you candy every morning before you eat breakfast. On days when you're exceeding their low expectations for how special you truly are, you get more of those little candies even if your stomach hurts and your brain is screaming at you to stop.

Otter was born the kid in the candy store. She grew up understanding only special kids got candy. And the kids that pushed the boundaries set for them received even more than imagined.

Her parents didn't understand why she wasn't excited about her morning candy, but that wasn't abnormal. Otter's parents didn't understand a single thing she did because she was just too 'special.'

Otter hated candy.

Only 'special' kids got candy.

Her siblings, Moose and Fallon, loved candy, but they weren't allowed to have any.

Although, that never stopped them from stopping by the Candy Store before.

Bellamy Hart learned love the hard way. Once the bright, confident heart of McKinley's cheer squad, she spent years dimming her own light to fit into someone else's shadow. What began as a high school romance turned into quiet control - a relationship that chipped away at her laughter, her friendships, and her sense of self. When one of her ex's friends crossed an unforgivable line, Bellamy stopped trusting everyone, including herself. Smiling became something she did to survive, not something she felt. Now, a year later, Bellamy's trying to start over - joining the Glee Club on a whim and finding herself surrounded by the same girls she once called her best friends: Quinn Fabray, Brittany Pierce, and Santana Lopez. They used to be unstoppable - four girls in matching uniforms and pink lip gloss, taking on the world with cheer routines and secrets only they knew. But time, pain, and silence have turned that bond into something fragile and unfamiliar. As Bellamy starts singing again, she begins rediscovering the voice she buried - both literally and emotionally. Enter Mike Chang - kind, steady, and quietly confident - who sees the parts of her she's still trying to forgive. He doesn't ask her to smile, doesn't demand she be okay. He just listens, moves in rhythm beside her, and makes her feel safe enough to want to dance again. But healing isn't linear, and love isn't simple. When Bellamy's past resurfaces - threatening to shatter the progress she's made - she must decide if she'll keep running from her story or rewrite it on her own terms. Because this time, Bellamy Hart isn't smiling for anyone else. She's finally learning to smile for herself.
