The Lockworth Lottery is unlike any other scholarship in the world. Students receive not only full tuition to the college or university of their choice; they spend their semesters living like members of legendary trillionaire family, the Lockworths: staying in their grandiose mansions, rubbing elbows with the wealthy and famous and jet-setting across the globe. It's a prize so renowned and so highly coveted, past beneficiaries have been harassed, stalked, kidnapped... even murdered. When Devon DaMaren - a shy, awkward eighteen year old misfit - wins the lucrative award she is immediately catapulted into the world of the elite. Private parties, overeager papparazzi and extravagant international shopping sprees... At last, Devon is beginning to feel like she matters. And she knows that her dreams of becoming a high-profile... something... are finally within her reach. What Devon doesn't realize is that the Lockworth world she has become a part of is stirring something - something powerful that has remained dormant all these years. And it's about to show everyone that she does not, in fact, belong.

Alexia Lambre had never been a truly 'normal' girl, because she had always had the added 'bonus' of telekinesis. At least, some might call it a bonus. Alexia would call it a curse, because throughout her entire life she worried about someone finding out about it and taking her away. Someone did find out about it, but not the government like she assumed would happen. She was soon offered a place at what was called 'The School,' a place for people like her to learn about their powers. When she arrived though, she learned otherwise. She makes friends with the other kids, and they all join up against the scientists at the school, those that like to do tests and even experiments on them. Will the group ever escape the school? Or will the appearance of a new teen and 'experiment C' do them in?
