They are the only ring, made of 4 islands. Ilse #2, Water; #3, Sky; #4, Earth; and the unspoken Island, 01, the Isle of the Reckless.
Tema is of Island #4, of Earth. She longs to be of the Water, but the people of each island are isolated. The only thing she can do is join the Sea Soldiers, the King's navy, in 2 years, when she turns 21. Until then, she'll have to be content with sneaking off to the coast when she has time. But when a poisonous liquid from the Isle of the Reckless starts snaking its way onto the shores of Earth, Tema is allowed to go with the Sea Soldiers to investigate.
Malloy is a lonely student haunted by the nagging fear of her own failures. Her only escape is a recurring dream that soon turns into a nightmare. She enters the ring and soon becomes obsessed with helping Tema save her people.

Darkness took over the world... only a tower of light appeared... only the chosen could go to that tower. Those who are not... are lost in the darkness. Inside the tower, people are given different tasks or jobs. Maintenance for those good at fixing stuff. Constructors for those who can build. Investigators for those who can find ideas. Creators for those who can create creatures of light. Teachers for those who teaches all these jobs and tasks. Masters who can be dreamers. This story began of a girl named Hana Delphi. She lost her family to the darkness. She worked hard to become a creator and learned of many secrets about the tower. Ali Kichen who became the youngest teacher to this tower. He was working hard to become a Master. Jonas Liker, who was lost in the darkness for a long time, who can hold the power of the dark and light at the same time. This series will have the story of Hana Delphi, Ali Kichen and Jonas Liker. Three unlikely best of friends. This is a work in progress. Update: This has gotten to the point that I am calling it The Impossible Stars because when darkness took over... so did time. So you just have to read the stories of each character... the first part will be about Hana. Will be working on the second and third parts soon as Hana's story is done.Complete
