"Long time no see, baby." I started at the sound of the voice, and as the words registered in my brain, I froze. My phone slipped from my hand as the hairs on the back of my neck stood on edge. It couldn't be...it was simply impossible. But there was no mistaking that voice-not for me. Turning slowly around, I wondered if my exhaustion was driving me to hallucinate, but no, there he stood: large as life, leaning casually against my bedroom door frame, arms banded across his broad chest. His appearance was rather different from the boy who'd stolen my heart all those years ago, and he'd assumed a more mature look, styling his hair off his forehead. His clothes, too, were more fitting to his age: a black dress shirt with sleeves rolled and black dress pants to match. Across his neck and peeking out of one of his sleeves I could see the black ink of tattoos that hadn't been there before. Despite the minor differences, however, there could be no denying that this was the same man from ten years ago. "You need to come with me, baby." He smirked slightly as our eyes met, but my world was spinning. All these years, I'd thought he was dead, and now- "Lu-Lucas?" I stammered, and my legs gave out. ➥ Lucas Wong Mafia AU ♚
