Detective Freen stood at the entrance of the Armstrong mansion, her eyes scanning the opulent foyer. The crystal chandelier refracted the morning light, casting a kaleidoscope of colors on the marble floor. But Freen's gaze wasn't on the lavish decor; it was on the body lying on the floor. Becky Armstrong, the heiress to the Armstrong fortune, knelt beside her parents' lifeless bodies, her eyes vacant and her face pale. Freen's heart went out to the young woman, but she knew she had to remain professional. "What happened here?" Freen asked, her voice firm but gentle. Becky looked up, her eyes locking onto Freen's. "I...I don't know," she stammered. "I came home and found them like this." Freen's eyes narrowed. Something didn't add up. She could see the fear and grief etched on Becky's face, but there was something else, something Freen couldn't quite put her finger on. As she began to process the crime scene, Freen couldn't shake off the feeling that this was more than just a random murder. There were secrets lurking beneath the surface, secrets that Freen was determined to uncover. Little did she know, this case would not only test her skills as a detective but also challenge her emotions and force her to confront her own demons. I do not own the characters but story is mine:)
