This is a story of a young girl living in Southern Texas out in the country 4 miles away from the town of Brownsville, this is the time of the gold rush. Her dad and her were one of the last to head out to California. Her father becomes ill on the trip and dies before they make it past the border of California. She is stranded and is desperate to reach Sutter's Mill. (Where all the gold was found). Will she make it or is this the end of Ava Seathen? Also just a heads up this story is only labeled as mature because it has a little bit of blood and a bit of illnesses, but other then that this story is just a historical fiction. Probably not much to worry about when it comes to people who don't like to read mature stories. I do, do my research while writing these, so most of the facts about the timeline is true if there is something wrong with the timeline/ story events please let me know. Ava's pronouns: She/ Her Gender: Female Age: 13 Height: 5'2 Weight: 87 lbs (average) Hair length: just past shoulders Hair color: dark brown Eye color: brown eyes Skin: Pale-ish (rough from living in the woods) ^On Hold^
