As it seems, the Palace of Nightshades needs a King, and the Vampyr Prince is next in line, but only if he marries and has a Queen by his side. The imprisoned Luna is his key to becoming King, and so he forces her to marry him in return for her life - and for a bigger title. Little do they both know, Luna cannot control herself in his presence despite what a monster he is, while he has urges and desires for more than just her blood.
Everyone has a soft spot in them, no matter how long they choose to deny it.
