His vow was never really fulfilled, as he failed to find a dear friend who kept him company in the lab before everything started.

Shunsuke was unaware of the fact that the time leap never affected the memories of his friend and he remembered everything from the beginning itself.

During every time leap, his friend experienced the same pain over and over again, until he became finally free from the recurring events.
