His name is Damian Milo Decker, a descendant of Commodore Matthew Decker. Damian is assigned to the USS Bonaventure; a newly commissioned neo-constitution class ship. He previously served aboard the USS Saratoga and is apprehensive about his new assignment. The Captain and First Officer, Jack Ransom and Beckett Mariner, leave the young officer greatly concerned. Not just for himself but his fellow officers. The Bonaventure is sent to deliver relief supplies to Vashti and its inhabitants. Later on, Damian and his fellow officers discover a giant robotic planet killer that will destroy the planet unless they act quickly. The Romulans do not trust Starfleet or the Federation, since they had been abandoned decades earlier when their star went supernova. It becomes evident that Captain Jack Ransom will do anything to achieve the success of the mission for his own gain and will not allow anyone to stand in his way.
