"The name's Ashton Peirce. Only few people can call me Ash, and so can you."
Ashton Peirce. A boy that's been hurt time after time. A boy that tries to get through the school day without getting beat up. A boy that hides scars under his sleeves. A boy that says "no thank you" or "not hungry" to avoid gaining weight. A boy that's mind is screaming at him. A boy that wears hoodies all the time to hide his body. A boy that fell in love but was hurt once again. A boy who has been beat. A boy that wants to leave this world. A boy that is all alone in this world, until he meets a cute blonde boy with a gorgeous smile.
"Hey wait! My name! I'm Skylar. See you around?"
Skylar Garcia. A boy that has it all, or so everyone thinks. A boy whose family is rich and supposably perfect. A boy that's parents have his future all planned out. A boy that's world turns completely upside down. A boy who has all the girls following his shadow, which he isn't too fond of. A boy that has to battle life without the love and care that he used to have. A boy that becomes totally confused when he meets a small boy with the cutest freckles.
What will happen if Ashton's annoying neighbor Racetrack Higgins introduces the two? Will the truth finally come out behind the mask?
This is a story with some characters from the musical newsies, however if you haven't seen the musical don't worry, you don't have to have seen it to read this. It doesn't completely focus on what happened in the musical, however the characters from Newsies are still a crucial part of the story.
I don't post on a schedule. If you dm me; I don't answer immediately (sorry, that's just who I am) I do have typo's and I sometimes will leave an author's not and sometimes I won't. I might leave chapters on cliff hangers.
Please no hateful, homophobic, or transphobic comments. If you are homophobic or transphobic you might as well leave. Byeee!
For the ones who stayed, I really hope you enjoy this story.
