My name is Jake Bohm. I have been alive for twelve years, twenty one days, and eleven hours. In all that time, I have never said a single word. Instead, I see numbers and patterns that are hidden in plain sight. These patterns help connect people and allow order in the world. There are only thirty five other people like me. That man over there is my dad, Martin Bohm. He has been taking care of me since 9/11, when my mother died. He helps me follow the numbers and help people. There's just one problem. A company called Aster Corps is looking for me. They want to study my brain and use me for their experiments. That's what they did to another girl like me. Her name was Amelia, and they faked her death. Now Dad and I are running away, somewhere safe. We have to find Amelia and stop Aster Corps. But it will be dangerous.
